News: designjunction relocates to King’s Cross
London’s King’s Cross will be the new home of the 2016 designjunction exhibition this September. The relocation to the 67-acre site, with the support of the King’s Cross development partnership, will mark the launch of the King’s Cross Design District at this year’s London Design Festival. designjunction managing director, Deborah Spencer, said: “King’s Cross stands at the heart of the design and architectural community, with an inspiring cultural scene, thriving business district and strong industrial heritage”. designjunction 2016 will consist of four sites across the canal-side site. ‘Granary Square’ will feature ten custom exhibitions. ‘Cubitt’ will host lightjunction and trade-focused brands. ‘The Canopy’ will contain a temporary pop-up venue of retail brands while ‘The Crossing’ will provide the show’s registration point as well as commissioned installations and flash factories.
