News: Creative Industries Federation calls for free movement post-Brexit

March 2018: Ahead of the Brexit trade negotiations, creative leaders, senior politicians, and business leaders called for free movement and access to talent to be an urgent priority, at a conference hosted by the Creative Industries Federation. The event at the National Gallery included speakers such as Amanda Levete, founder and principal of AL_A, and Suella Fernandes MP, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the European Union. “The creative industries produce £92bn in economic benefit to the country,” says John Kampfner, chief executive of the Creative Industries Federation. “As Brexit negotiations on a future trade deal move closer, we are approaching a critical time. We can’t know all the answers, but we can set out a plan to protect the creative industries.”
