January 2018: An international media and events company has acquired London Design Fair, Tent London, and Super Brands London. The UK branch of Portland, Maine-based Diversified Communications now owns all three festivals. During London Design Festival 2017, the events – held at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch – attracted around 500 exhibitors and 28,000 visitors. Jimmy MacDonald, who developed Tent Exhibitions more than 10 years ago, will now become the events’ group director. He moves across to Diversified, along with the full team. “We are very proud of what we have achieved over the years and this is a timely and exciting new chapter for our events,” MacDonald says. “Diversified share our passion and enthusiasm for creating exceptional events, with a reputation for delivering a great visitor and exhibitor experience.”

Diversified Communications originated in Portland, Maine; today, they also have branches in Canada, the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia. Their international events portfolio includes Design Build in Sydney, the AEC Next conferences in Anaheim and Washington DC, and SPAR Japan.
