May 2018: This September, Maison & Objet is reorganising. The show – one of Europe’s key interior products events – will be divided into two hubs intended to deliver a new visitor experience. Philippe Brocart, managing director of fair organiser SAFI says: “Our first priority is to create the right experience to meet the needs of our exhibitors and visitors. Since its inception, the fair has always seen two categories of visitors, each with very different expectations for their visits: retailers and specifiers.” The new layout will consist of two main sections – ‘Maison’ and ‘Objet’. The Maison hub will be split across four categories: unique & eclectic, today, forever, and craft. The Objet hub will be expanded into seven sectors: cook & share, smart gift, fashion accessories, kids & family, home accessories, home fragrance, and home linen.
