News: Surface Design Awards shortlist announced

November 2018: The shortlist for the Surface Design Awards 2019 has been announced. Forty-three projects across seven categories have been selected by the judging panel that was co-chaired by Christophe Egret, founding partner at Studio Egret West, and Paul Priestman, chairman at PriestmanGoode. The finalists for the housing interior category include Blackheath House by Walker Bushe Architects and Barbican Mezzanine by Francisco Sutherland Architects. Gasworks by Chris Dyson Architects and Coate Street by Urban Mesh Design have been chosen for the housing exterior category. Other finalists include Five Acre Barn B+B by Blee Halligan Architects within the sustainable exterior category and Altered States by Caesarstone x Snarkitecture (pictured) for the temporary structure. The Surface Design Show takes place at the Business Design Centre, London, 5-7 February.
