The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) has announced Harriet Forde, founder of London-based practice Harriet Forde Design, as its new president.

She succeeds current president Gilly Craft and officially took on the role at the BIID Annual General Meeting on Thursday 4 July, which took place at The Royal Institute of British Architects.

Forde is an experienced interior designer and a long-standing member of the BIID, having previously held the position of chair of the membership committee.

An active member of the Institute, she regularly leads talks and discussions at industry events across the country, including participation at the most recent BIID Inside Knowledge Conference.
