New season of RIBA + VitrA talks announced

Sustainable buildings, experimentation and renovation are the themes in the latest series of talks from the RIBA + VitrA.

Jeanne Gang – 14 September, 7pm
Join this live-streamed lecture with 2019 TIME100 Honoree Jeanne Gang, founding principle and partner of the global practice Studio Gang.
Her award-winning practice emphasises research, experimentation and collaboration resulting in a diverse body of work. Projects range from cultural centres, to high rise towers and installations, as described in a new comprehensive book, Studio Gang: Architecture, published by Phaidon. 3XN – 17 September, 7pm
Founded in Denmark in 1986, 3XN is known for directly applying behavioural research into the fabric of its projects. In 2007, 3XN founded the sister company GXN, dedicated to undertaking innovative research into circular design, behaviour design and digital design.
3XN will present some of their recent projects including Olympic House which received three of the most rigorous sustainable building certifications, making it one of the most sustainable office buildings in the world.

Neri&Hu – 20 October, 1pm
Join this live lecture from Shanghai by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, founding partners of the award-winning design studio Neri&Hu. The practice has built a distinct approach to architecture that pushes beyond traditional boundaries to incorporate interior, product and graphic design.
Key projects include the renovation and extension of a 1930s army headquarters into a new boutique hotel in Shanghai’s South Bund district called The Waterhouse, the Suzhou Chapel and the highly acclaimed Aranya Art Centre.
