This week we bring you a striking collaboration between Riviere Rugs and Zoffany, eye-catching tiles from CTD Architectural and tactile accessories from de Le Cuona
Rug designer Riviere and fabric and wallpaper house Zoffany have come together to develop a special piece to celebrate the launch of Palladio Volume 1 for Zoffany.
Riviere were given exclusive access to Zoffany’s Palladio archive, created over 65 years ago by Robert and Roger Nicholson and from which a collection of six designs were revisited to create Volume I.
Such was the detail in the original paper that Riviere used their highest knot count to accurately capture the architectural detail of the Royal Exchange. Hand carded and spun Himalayan wool in deep charcoal is coupled with bright white and gold silk highlights to create a three-dimensional effect. The result is a captivating piece that can be used as a statement rug or decorative wall hanging.
Riviere rugs are entirely handmade, from the dying and spinning of the yarn to the weaving on the loom. Crafted by weavers in the Kathmandu Valley, whose skills have been passed down from generation to generation.
The new Genesis wall tile collection from CTD Architectural is a celebration of colour, shape and texture. Ideal for creating feature walls in commercial, residential and hospitality spaces.
From crimson to gold, Genesis is certainly eye-catching, providing designers, specifiers and architects with ten different glazed ceramic structures in bold colours and metallic finishes. The tiles are available in three sizes: 450 x 1200, 350 x 1000 and 300 x 600mm.
Mountain Retreat is a simple collection of tactile cushions, throws and bed spreads in linen and wool from de Le Cuona. Here the beauty lies in mixing and layering textures to give rooms depth and comfort. The shades are soft and earthy creating tone-on-tone schemes that are nuanced and restful and the new collection is available to buy from de Le Cuona’s online shopping arena.
The company has a 26-year history and says all its fabrics are responsibly crafted.
