Here are three new interior products that caught our eye this week
Danish designer Cecilie Manz has created Fritz Hansen’s first rug collection in collaboration with cc-tapis.
Manz says she approached the assignment the same way she approaches a composition on canvas – by outlining concepts as collages with paper, before ideas were transformed using wool.
Various tufting heights within each design make these rugs subtly three dimensional and tactually interesting. Each rug is hand tufted in India and coloured with acid-free dye.
Manz says, “It was important to me that the rugs could go with Fritz Hansen’s more classic pieces as well as the contemporary collection. The large, calm carpet in colourless tones creates a quiet space together with an iconic chair. The small carpets with intense colour do well alone, like a colour spill on the floor.
The Roma roll top basin is new from Aston Matthews.
The classic wall hung design is available as a single or double bowl, the perfect match for the company’s Roma roll top cast iron bath. The new ceramic basin is available in white or with a coloured, glazed exterior including rose, yellow, black or blue. To complete the look you can choose coloured controls for the taps to match or contrast with the basin.
Aston Matthews’ showrooms are temporarily closed due to Coronavirus, but the website is still trading and the company is now offering a call back service to offer help and advice on pulling together the right bathroom products for any project.
Lapicida has launched the 4D tile collection featuring textured 3-dimensional shapes.
The three different designs, Chevron, Hexagon and Drop, are each available in two colourways – either blue or white. These designs can be used on their own or mixed with each other to create visual depth.
Lapicida says the porcelain tiles also work well alongside its natural stone range.
